A Better Way To Measure?

When it comes to losing weight we usually do one of two things:

  1. Step on a scale
  2. Get our body composition (bodyfat) measured.

And those are very important. They tell us the outcome of our efforts.

But the outcome doesn’t ever seem to happen fast enough. I mean on those weight loss shows that dude lost 20 pounds in a week, and I only lost 5 pounds last month. Sometimes all the effort just doesn’t seem worth it.

So here’s what I want you to do. Get a piece of paper out and write down the following:

On a scale of 1 to 10:

How is my energy level today?

How is my attitude today?

How did I sleep last night?

How do I feel when I look in the mirror?

How focused am I today?

Keep your log for 7 days, and see if focusing on those things helps the other thing (you know, the fat loss).

Let me know how it goes!
