Frustrated?

You have tried all sorts of things. Different exercise programs, the latest diet on the bookstore shelf. You may have even gotten results, but for some reason it just doesn’t seem to stick, or you hit a plateau and just can’t lose those last 10 pounds.

The truth is some people can do it by themselves, for awhile. But how many people do you know that have lost weight and kept it off? Not many I bet.

And that’s why you want a coach. You want someone who understands your life and helps you find what works for you.

Why Coaching?

whycoachingI have coaches, and I hire them because although I probably (maybe?) could do it myself, coaching helps get me there faster and easier, will help me get out of my own way, and will help me overcome obstacles I will face.

The 3 steps to reaching any goal is illustrated here:

  1. Create A Plan
  2. Take Daily Action Steps
  3. Reassess and Adjust

It is a continuous loop of finding what works, what doesn’t, and continuing to get better.

You could do that by yourself, but are you?

Why Habit Based Coaching?

Think about it. When life is good – our stress is low, we are enjoying our job, the kids are all healthy, the weather is nice, and whatever else makes us happy, it’s easier to stay focused on that new diet plan.

But life isn’t all sunshine and rainbows and unicorns. Who knew? 🙂

So be honest, when life gets rough, what do we fall back on with our eating?

If you are anything like me, you do what comes naturally, in other words, you do what you are in the habit of doing.

You fall back on the default “you”, and that just makes sense.

That’s why we don’t just want to have a list of things “to do”.

We need to create habits that work for us, not against us!

The Change Challenge: A Hard Habit (To Break or Make)

Change can be difficult, no question.

But trying to muster up willpower to keep disciplined goes against all the evidence of creating lasting change.

In other words creating change habits are hard because we make them hard – it doesn’t have to be that way.

There is actually a simple, evidence based way to get on the “habit highway”, and it goes like this.

  1. Have a coach that helps you customize your habit
  2. Be part of a group doing the habit
  3. Consistently show up for your coach and the group

You need the coaching and support to do your habit in a way that works for you, and do them often enough so it becomes part of who you are, not just something you do.

Ask yourself. When did you find the most success in your life? I am willing to bet you had a great teacher (coach), people who supported you, and enough accountability to make sure you followed through.

One Habit At a Time

It has to be easier to get long lasting results.

Trying harder just doesn’t work. Effort is not always the key. In fact trying harder and not getting results usually leads to frustration and failure.

Do you know someone who is in great shape and seems like they never have to work for it? Instead of being jealous, let’s learn from them. Our most successful clients didn’t get lean and fit overnight. What they did do is create a “new normal” for themselves by building new habits, step-by-step, that eventually crowded out the old ones.

They make it look easier now, because it is easier now.

Creating Our New Normal the Easy Way

So know we know that creating new habits means having the right habits, the ones that are easy for us. Remember what the evidence showed us? There are 3 things you need to consistently be successful at creating new habits and your new normal:

Connecting The Dots

If you want to reach the next level, you need Coaching, Company and Consistency. There is no secret beyond that.

If you were going to do it on your own, you probably would have by now.

If you want to be leaner, fitter and stronger than you are now, you are going to need more Coaching, Accountability and Support than you have right now.

The 10-Week “Essential Nutrition” Habit Program

Here’s where we get to work, practicing the process of creating new, easy habits that lead to lasting change.

Over the 10 weeks we will introduce you to the 5 foundational habits, creating a strong base for lasting change.

Here’s How It Works

While coaching is the heart of helping you create change, we have compiled some amazingly effective tools – easy to use, dare I say, habit forming? 🙂 – to help both you and your coach track accountability. We use a really cool software program called “Habit Catalyst” as an online habit tracking and education platform.

Each day you’ll tell us how you did on your habit for the previous day, plus you will receive a lesson on nutrition that reinforces the “why” of the habit you are working on. We will not only send you an email reminder, but if you want you can download the Habit Catalyst app on either iPhone or Android and be sent the check-in reminder and lesson that way.  You’ll never miss a lesson and check-in. Pretty cool! Remember we want this to be easy for you to make a part of your life and your preferences.

So what are we tracking?

Every other Monday you will get a new habit, and you’ll get to talk to your coach and team about how to make it work in your life. It won’t be too easy and it won’t be too hard, but it will always be valuable. On Week 2 you and your coach will take a look at how you did and adjust it for the week. Sometimes it may need to be made easier (like if you have a nutso schedule that week) or if you rocked it, you will be shown how the habit can be taken to the next level.

Accountability and Support:

Don’t you wish you had a circle of supportive friends who want you to succeed and reach your goals? Well now you do! At our private Facebook Group we all get to hang out, share recipes, help each other out with the struggles, and celebrate everybody’s wins. Magic happens here.

We all have lives that are busy and if we tried to get together in person, it would be near impossible to pull the group to one place each week. But Facebook allows us to meet at your convenience. This is how we can get together and talk as a group. In fact your coach will be there at daily, except Sundays. Its like having your peeps with you when you need them.

Your coach is a nutrition expert, no doubt. But lasting change is more than just about how much protein and carbs to eat. You already know that there are going to be challenges to overcome. Your coach will help you identify and break through the obstacles that are getting in the way of your “easy”. You’ll also get the lowdown on the “why” behind the habits and get all your other questions answered.

Part of making our new habits easy is making things easier in the kitchen. The 10-Week “Essential Nutrition” Habit Coaching course is $197. Simple as that.

One more thing. This is not one of those online programs where you don’t get to talk the coaches. We are coaches, we love to coach, and this program is all about you getting the coaching you need.
