Sweet and savory, this homemade blend beats anything you can pull of the shelf. Ketchup may never be the same!
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 green/Granny Smith apples, peeled and diced
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 1/4 tsp allspice
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 pinches of cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon ginger
  • 2 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 c water
  • 6 ounces tomato paste
  1. Place all ingredients in a sauce pan (this can also be done in a small slow cooker).
  2. Cook until onion is soft. Allow mixture to cool slightly and then place in a food
  3. processor or blender until smooth. Once blended, place ketchup into glass containers
  4. and allow to cool before refrigerating. This ketchup will last several weeks.
